I am a resourceful, multi-faceted, and mission-driven professional with a seasoned research background, a history of successful grant applications, and a talent for getting things done. I combine 7+ years of applied qualitative and quantitative social science with flexible strategic thinking and experience in workforce development, government, non-profit, and academic sectors. I believe in the power of rigorous social science research, and intentional relationship-building, to solve our most urgent challenges.

Current Work

I work with the state-owned Gov. Aycock Birthplace Historic Site to update and expand interpretation through original archival research and social science interventions, including: community focus groups; 1:1 interviews with stakeholders and state staff; and program evaluation.

Recent publications:
My graduate work, funded through the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program, the American Association of Geographers, and the Landscape Research Group, examined human dimensions of natural and cultural resources, the social science of public lands, program evaluation, and landscape in the US South. Learn more about my social science work here.
